Activities

Activities include early morning game drives or walks, mid-morning guided walks, afternoon and evening game drives in open land cruisers and game viewing from various hides overlooking the plains or waterholes. An overnight stay in one of the hides is available if you wish to experience sleeping out in the bush under the stars.

Air Conditioning / Heating

Each suite has air conditioning and fans - extremely important for the summer, as well as heating for the winter when temperatures can drop to below -5 degrees. In addition the bathrooms have underfloor heating.

Arrival and Departure

Suites are available from 13.00 and must be vacated by 11.00 on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests. Late departure times can be arranged at the lodge, subject to availability of suites.

Best Time to Travel

All year round. Game viewing is often at its best from the end of March to the end of September due to the vegetation being less dense and the game tending to congregate around waterholes. Bird life is best from November to February when the migrant bird species, in addition to the resident species, are found in the reserve.

Rainfall is mostly in the summer between October and March.
